Every imaging professional begins as someone learning to see.
This is the story of why we exist, and of the people we built MIG Healthcare to serve: the student finding their footing, the school opening the next door, the clinical team that makes time to teach, and the employer building the team patients rely on.
From the scanner room to a network.

It began on the other side of the glass.
Our story doesn't start in a boardroom. It starts in a working imaging environment, at the console, beside the patient, inside the daily rhythm of screening, positioning, scanning and review.
Our leadership has owned and operated outpatient imaging. We know what a good technologist looks like on a busy day, and we know how much of that skill can only be learned with a patient on the table and a mentor in the room.
“Some skills can only be learned with a patient on the table and a mentor in the room.”

We saw the gap no one owned.
Schools were full of capable students with nowhere to place them. Imaging centers wanted to help, but had little time to coordinate rotations. Graduates finished their programs and still struggled to land the first job.
Everyone in the system wanted the same thing: confident, competent imaging professionals. But the bridge between the classroom, the clinic and the career belonged to no one.
“The bridge between the classroom, the clinic and the career belonged to no one.”

So we built the bridge.
We opened a readiness hub at Symphony Towers in downtown San Diego. We brought in instructors who notice the small moments: the landmark finally recognized, the careful question that becomes understanding. We built a network of clinical partners, and a portal that makes every student's progress visible.
The address was a deliberate choice. A downtown San Diego hub gives partners a place they can visit, students a place they can reach, and programs across California a home base they can count on. See our locations
In the past year alone, more than one hundred imaging students have trained in our clinical environments. Some of them now work alongside us as colleagues.
“A downtown home base that partners can visit and students can reach.”

Now we're building what's next.
Today MIG Healthcare stands on four divisions: Clinical Education, Clinical Network Development, Professional Training and POCUS, and Workforce Solutions. Each one strengthens a different part of the profession.
We're growing across California, Nevada, Arizona and Texas, helping partner programs build clinical capacity where their students need it. The mission hasn't changed. Help every person who wants to work in imaging get the preparation, the experience and the opportunity they deserve.
“Preparation, experience and opportunity for everyone who wants to work in imaging.”
Three letters. One promise.
MIG stands for Medical Imaging Group. Each word is a commitment we make to the people we serve.
Care comes first.
Every image begins with a person on the table. Safety, communication and compassion are the first skills we teach, and the last ones we would ever compromise.
The discipline of seeing.
Imaging is the art of revealing what can't be seen from the outside. We help students look closely, ask thoughtfully and understand the meaning behind every image.
Stronger together.
No one builds a profession alone. Schools, clinical sites, employers and students each hold part of the answer. We are the group that brings them together.
I didn’t come from imaging. I came to it.
I didn’t arrive in this field with a radiology degree or years at the console. I arrived as an outsider, the new owner of a struggling outpatient imaging center in San Diego. The schedule was thin, the systems were fragile and the numbers didn’t work. More than one person told me it couldn’t be turned around.
So I learned. I learned the rhythm of a scan room from the technologists who ran it. I learned scheduling, billing and patient flow one difficult week at a time. And I learned the truth every good imaging center eventually discovers: its strength is its people, and great people are made, not found.
Then the students began to arrive for their clinical hours, and something changed. Every rotation made our team sharper. Every graduate who left confident made us prouder. The center that once struggled became a healthy, profitable practice, and teaching became the part of the work I loved most.
Word traveled. Program directors started calling. Today many of California’s leading imaging programs trust us with their students, and our clinical training has become one of the places schools across the state seek out first.
MIG Healthcare is what that journey taught me. That capability can be built. That a struggling place can become a proud one. And that every student deserves someone in the room who believes they can become excellent. That belief is the foundation of everything we do.
See the potential. Help it rise.
